The Rundown: A dark spectre from the future comes back with a violent mission.

A research station receives a strange visitor from someone who looks like Space Ghost. Calling himself the Space Spectre, this new vigilante has darker motivations and isn’t afraid to kill. At the same time, Space Ghost and his team are staking out Robo Corp and their leader as they prepare to launch a new satellite. A satellite that gets the attention of Space Spectre as well causing the vigilante to take on Space Ghost, Jace and Jan.

After Spectre reveals his identity to Space Ghost, he disappears and the team comes up with a new plan to protect the launch of the satellite. When Space Spectre attacks, the fight results in a devastating reveal and a warning about a bigger threat coming for them.

The Story: Pepose delivers a thrilling, engaging and entertaining story in this issue. I enjoyed the dark opening of this issue and how the Space Spectre story progresses through it. Pepose does a great job of not dragging out the reveals and having the first one be to Space Ghost alone creates moments of great drama for the character and the reader. I really enjoy the cliffhanger of the story as well as what is being teased to come in the future.

The Art: Lau delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual tone of this story and how it uses shadow to showcase the darkness of the Space Spectre character.
